Paterson Campus The Kirakira Hikaru Cultural Dance performed at the High School Preston Campus this week and it was absolutely outstanding. The dance tour was organised by a grade 12 ISS IB DP student named Moe Kojima. This is a CAS Project she is doing to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Singapore and create new interactions between the youth of each culture. If you did not get to watch they will be performing for free on Sunday at 1pm at Liang Court Shopping Complex near Clark Quay. School Lunches Please go to our ‘How to order lunch’ page for information on school lunches. Elementary School Our second week back at school has come to a close. The students are now settling into their routines and becoming more and more excited about their learning journey this year. As the classes spent time the past two weeks building a community of learners, the students reflected on how the IB Learner Profile and ISS 4 Be’s support a safe environment for our children. The PYP Learner Profile and 4 Be’s form the basis of our behavioral agreements at ISS.
When picking your children up from the PPU rooms at the end of the day please wait for your child to be brought to the door of the PPU room so that we can ensure that all children are going home with the correct adult. To help make this process as smooth as possible please could parents wait slightly back from the door of the PPU Room to give space for students to be handed over to their parents by the duty teacher. ES Meet the Teachers Night Wednesday, August 23rd, (5:30pm-7:30pm) will provide you with a chance to meet your child's teacher and find out more about how the learning at ISS is organised. The timeline for the evening is as follows: 5:30pm- 5:45pm- Introduction with coffee and snacks in Changi Hall 5:45pm- 6:15pm - Meet the specialist teachers 6:30pm- 6:55pm - First session with class teachers 7:05pm- 7:30pm - Second session with class teachers NB: The two sessions with class teachers are the same to allow parents with siblings to attend sessions with more than one teacher or parents unable to attend the first session to come to the second.
