Another exciting week at ISS Paterson has culminated in a fantastically supported ‘Free Dress Day’; students brought in a considerable amount of food to be donated to the food bank. Thank you, parents, for purchasing these items and making a difference to those in need. Our PYP/MYP ESL Coffee Morning was well attended and I am glad that you were able to ask so many questions. Please do not hesitate to continue the dialogue with the ESL department, who are always keen to share their expertise! Out focus for our next Coffee Morning on Thursday 6 September will be ‘International Mindedness’ so I hope to see you then. We will begin promptly at 8.15 am in the Changi Hall. The classrooms are vibrant and full of students asking questions, completing projects, debating and inquiring into just about everything. I am always amazed and excited to see students completing tasks in their mother tongue as well as in the language of instruction. This shows student resilience and ownership of their learning. Today is Teacher Appreciation Day and I would like to thank our highly committed and experienced educators for their unwavering support of the students at ISS. As educators, I know that they never stop thinking about their students and how best to support them. Thank you teachers and TAs - you do a wonderful job!
