Elementary School News
Every week in the Elementary seems to be busy, with lots of cheery students chattering with each other as they immersed themselves in learning. Homerooms were a hive of activity and students were eagerly anticipating their specialist lessons, wondering what new things they would learn this year. For me, it has been a time of trying to remember names and places - but I am getting there! Next week we will welcome you to the campus for our ‘Meet the teacher’ evening. This will begin in the Changi Hall at 5.30 pm on Thursday 23 August. Initially you will gather together before going to the respective classrooms. You will also have the chance to visit the specialist teachers. Enjoy! This week saw the beginning of our swim programme. The children loved their trip on the bus and were eager to show their swimming skills. Please remember that swimming is part of the assessed curriculum and is a compulsory subject, so unless there is a very good medical reason for your child not swimming, we do expect full attendance. Meet the Teacher 23 August 5.30 pm. Middle School News Teaching and Learning is in full swing again at ISS. So many great experiences being offered inside and outside the classroom.
