Our students have completed their examination week and they all did a fantastic job, everyone turned up on time and completed their examinations according to the IB regulations. These examinations help prepare our students for their finals in the coming years. We know that ‘Practice Makes Perfect’ and hence we support our students by providing them with opportunities to have examinations under the full IB regulations. When they eventually take their finals, they are well prepared and understand the processes involved.
We ended our week with a Grade 9 field trip to Marina Barrage and NeWater - this trip provides the students with further learning opportunities to support their unit on ‘Urban Environments’. Our Grade 11 Art students visited La Salle to hear more about the degree courses they offer and to see La Salle students in action. ISS High School Diploma We are pleased to announce our ISS High School Diploma programme that is an alternative to the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP), the ISS High School Diploma (HSD) programme will be offered for Grade 9 (G9) to Grade 12 (G12) students. This will be introduced in the new school year commencing August 2019. For students who prefer not to pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP), the ISS HSD is an option that will enable students to graduate at Grade 12 and apply for entry into Universities, in Australia, Europe, USA, under certain conditions. The ISS HSD includes practical vocational experience, as well as attachments to polytechnics and other educational institutions included in the curriculum. The core benefit of the ISS HSD is that students will be given the opportunity to pursue a vocation that they are passionate about or have a strong interest in, thereby helping our students realise their individual potential in a more personal, tangible and pronounced manner.
