On Tuesday we recognised World Kindness Day and every student received a note and chocolate from the teachers as they came into school. A great start to the day and it was lovely to see the smiles on their faces.
Our Assembly this week focused on the IB Learner Profile ‘Principled’: We act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. Congratulations to the following students. We wish to challenge the stigma and discrimination that results in physical, verbal, emotional, and financial violence’ Vanesa spoke with our Grade 11 English B students who are currently reading the novel ‘Sold’ by Patricia McCormick and also our Dressember ECA group about the Sex Industry in Singapore and shared many facts and information about the stigma attached to the industry. Our students asked some meaningful questions and left with a deeper understanding. The IN Art Exhibition opens on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm at the Australian High Commission. All of our IB DP Visual Art graduates have work on display. The Exhibition will be on view for the next month. On Thursday 22nd Nov. our DP coordinator, Ms. Bleyberg will be hosting a Grade 11/12 Information evening about pathways after MYP. This is for all parents and guardians of Grade 10 students. Information on the courses we offer, the different pathways students can follow and the various components that contribute to the Diploma Programme will be explained.
