This week Grade 6 students visited the NEWater Visitor Centre to support their learning in the Science unit: My Pure Earth. The centre promotes water sustainability in Singapore. Students learned how NEWater is produced through an interactive tour and educational workshop.
Last evening, it was my pleasure to attend my first ISS Festival of Lights, what a joy it was to hear and see our High School students as they danced, sang and played a variety of instruments. I look forward to next year’s festival when the whole school will be present at Preston. This evening is a late night at Paterson with the Aladdin cast, crew and volunteers rehearsing and trying on sample costumes. The show is on track and excellent progress is being made towards opening night on March 11th 2020. I look forward to seeing you at the first ISS Christmas fair tomorrow, there is a wonderful variety of stalls, games to play and food and drinks to be purchased. Flags were being ironed today and being made ready for International Day next Friday, see you at the parade! You will receive a note from your child’s teacher about pick up arrangements, please make sure you return the form so that all teachers know how every child will go home on that day at the end of the International Day event. On Wednesday 11th December there will be a meeting for parents who have volunteered to help with home languages in Semester 2, more information will be sent out on Tuesday 10th December.
